FRISCO, Texas – June 16, 2006 – Craig Hall, founder and chairman of Hall Financial Group, announced today that SANYO Energy (U.S.A.) Corporation (SANYO Energy) is relocating its North American Headquarters to Hall Office Park in Frisco, Texas, from San Diego, California. SANYO Energy has leased 29,000 square feet at 2600 Network Boulevard, a six-story, 150,000 square foot Class A office building that opened in April 2006.
“The North Dallas sub-region is rapidly growing and we wanted to make a long-term commitment in a vibrant community,” said Yoshinobu Nakatani, executive vice president of operations with SANYO Energy. “We chose Frisco in part because of its strong economic incentives and effective municipal government that is willing to form lasting partnerships with its corporate citizens. In Hall Office Park, we found a special environment with unique amenities and services that will be enjoyed by our employees. And, being in the greater Dallas area brings us closer to our customer base and enables us to provide an even higher quality of service delivery. We will be offering new career opportunities and are confident we will find highly educated and motivated employees in Frisco and the surrounding areas.”
“It is extremely gratifying that a stable, multinational company such as SANYO Energy is joining Hall Office Park from California,” said Craig Hall. “Our primary goal remains to deliver an aesthetically pleasing work environment that promotes bottom line success for the businesses who locate here.”
“We are honored to extend open arms to SANYO Energy and pleased to welcome them to the great state of Texas, Frisco and Hall Office Park,” said Frisco Mayor Mike Simpson. “One of the deciding factors was Frisco’s mid-point location with easy access to DFW International Airport and centralized time zone compatibilities. SANYO Energy’s presence here will be a great addition to our growing cluster of international businesses and we are hopeful this is a sign of additional similar moves to come.”
Headed by President Masami (Sam) Murata, SANYO Energy plans to relocate approximately 35 employees and hire an additional 45 new people in Frisco within the next several years. The company’s main production facility is located in Monterrey, Mexico; branch offices are in Chicago, New Jersey, Detroit and Kansas City.
"Once again Frisco shows its ability to capture the attention and ultimately win the vote to secure yet another major corporation's relocation to the area," said Dean Collins, brokerage services for CB Richard Ellis.
Jean Farris, director of leasing, handled negotiations on behalf of owner and landlord, Hall Financial Group. Randy Cooper and Dean Collins with CB Richard Ellis represented SANYO Energy. James L. Gandy, president and Nancy Windham, director of business development for the Frisco EDC, led the recruitment effort and negotiated economic incentives on behalf of the City of Frisco and the Frisco Economic Development Corporation.
Today, more than 135 companies with 3,800 employees call Hall Office Park home. Since ground was first broken in 1997, 11 architecturally distinct office buildings have been completed. The twelfth, at 3101 Gaylord Parkway, a three-story, 128,000 square foot building, is under construction bringing the park to more than 1.5 million square feet of Class A office space. Hall Financial Group is well on its way to building out Hall Office Park’s three million square foot master plan.
