FRISCO, Texas – Oct. 20, 2008 – Thousands of North Texas residents have explored and enjoyed the Texas Sculpture Garden at Hall Office Park, the largest collection of its kind ever assembled and made available to the public.
What many people don’t know is that the Texas Sculpture Garden is just part of The Hall Collection, where there are more than 100 additional works of contemporary, international art located in building lobbies and throughout the grounds at Hall Office Park.
To help visitors better enjoy the art, Hall Office Park has created a new art tour map that identifies many of the works on display along with the artist, and offers suggested routes to facilitate viewing the entire collection.
Hall Office Park art tour maps are available at Hall Financial Group’s reception area located at 6801 Gaylord Parkway, Suite 100 at Hall Office Park, as well as through the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and Frisco Convention and Visitors Bureau.
“It makes me happy to see families strolling the grounds outside my office window and looking at the art,” says Craig Hall, founder and chairman of Hall Financial Group. “Art makes us think and helps us appreciate the beauty of our surroundings and the unique nature of our times.”
All told, The Hall Collection includes more than 165 works of art created by artists from all over the world, including Jaguar, an 85-foot-tall, bright red steel sculpture by internationally known sculptor John Henry. Jaguar, which is visible from the Dallas North Tollway, is the second tallest sculpture in the D/FW Metroplex. Only Walking to the Sky by Jonathon Borofsky, located at the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas, is taller.
The Hall Collection also features significant works of art including drawings, sketches, sculpture, paintings, glass and photography. From humorous to serious – whether outside, inside or (in the case of a giant gar chomping on a cabin) in the middle of a lake – each individual piece has been positioned and installed with the utmost of care, all surrounded by beautiful landscaping, water features and winding walking trails.
The Texas Sculpture Garden, comprised of 40 works of art, highlights some of the State’s most important living artists and was created to promote their work and encourage art education.
