Craig Hall Continues Dedication to the Arts with Addition of Latest Sculpture by Texas Artist Mac Whitney

Tour The Collection at Hall Office Park this Holiday Season

FRISCO, Texas – December 10, 2009 – Break away from the hustle and bustle of shopping and take time to enjoy The Hall Collection at Hall Office Park this holiday season. A bright red, steel sculpture that stands 21 feet tall by prominent Texas artist Mac Whitney was recently added to the collection. With the addition of the whimsical piece, Laredo, there are a total of nine Whitney sculptures on display at the park including one in the Texas Sculpture Garden, a four-acre tract at the entrance to Hall Office Park dedicated to spotlighting the works of Texas artists. In all, the park features more than 165 important pieces of contemporary art throughout the grounds and within building lobbies.

“Laredo is one of my favorite pieces,” said Whitney. “With its long serrated edges, it looks as if it were cut with gigantic pinking shears.” After installation was complete on Internet Boulevard, the piece was buffed and completely re-painted by another well-known local artist, David Iles of Bolivar, Texas. Iles’ bronze HOP Jackrabbits sculptures are also featured in the Texas Sculpture Garden.

“Art was a conceptual force that drove the design and master plan for the development,” said Craig Hall, founder and chairman of Hall Financial Group. “We are proud to be able to make art accessible to our tenants and visitors, to encourage art education and to facilitate connections between artists and the community.”

A lifelong art collector, Craig Hall believes art nourishes the human spirit and can make a profound difference in people’s lives. Throughout his businesses, Hall displays portions of his personal contemporary art collection for the public’s enjoyment.
