Geffert lives and works in Crowley,
Texas. He taught sculpture for many
years at Texas Christian University
in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Geffert received
the Legend Award from Dallas Visual
Art Center for his profound influence
on Texas art. Until 1999, he operated
Green Mountain Foundry, the most prestigious
bronze foundry in Texas. The foundry
currently is operational only for his
own work, however, many well-known artists
have had their bronze casting done by
Mr. Geffert, including James Surls,
Joseph Havel, Ken Little, Linda Ridgway,
and Frances Bagley.
