Umlauf lives in Lorena, Texas and has
his studio in Waco, Texas. He teaches
for the Art Department at Baylor University
in Waco. Mr. Umlauf is best-known for
his wall-supported sculpture of molded
fiberglass or cast paper referencing
land formations. Recent themes include
cathedral windows and the effects of
war combining incongruous materials
such as scrap metal and exquisite drawing
in pastels. He has had many exhibitions
throughout U.S.
