Owens lives and works in Dallas, Texas.
She is a multi-faceted artist encompassing
disciplines as diverse as weaving, painting
and sculpting. Her favorite material
choices for sculpture are carved crepe
myrtle branches or welded steel.Her
designs have to do with human condition
or with honoring nature. Ms. Owens has
had invitational exhibitions throughout
Texas and U.S. and was recently honored
by being selected to produce commemorative
artwork for the retiring Dean of the
University of Texas School of Architecture.
